Let’s Hit a Home Run for Hungry Children

In just a few short weeks, school will let out for the summer and the 148,000 students who receive free lunches at school will have to look elsewhere for the nutritious meals they need. To address this critical summer food gap, Three Square, in partnership with the Las Vegas 51s, Winder Farms and Central Christian Church, is launching Summer Lunch League.

Through Summer Lunch League, individuals, businesses and faith organizations can team-up during May and June to help raise $100,000 to feed hungry kids this summer. That’s enough money to provide 300,000 meals—a home run as it relates to providing a steady source of supplemental food for at-risk kids in Southern Nevada. 

To make the campaign a success, Three Square is looking for head coaches (team organizers), MVPs (team leaders) and All-Stars (hunger-busting supporters) willing to step up to the plate. Participants can hit a double by donating online; all online donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000. Participation is as easy as visiting www.summerlunchleague.org.
